Ministry Goals

We have three goals for the ministry of Village Soul:
  1. Train lay people to work with their pastors in fulfilling the mission of Jesus in their communities.
  2. Network with multiple churches to pool resources for community outreach.
  3. Make tools like the Alpha Course and Celebrate Recovery accessible to people on a main street level.

Serve F T

Serve F. T. is an initiative of Village Soul Ministries to network

Not to be served, but to serve others.

with multiple churches in the Franklin Township area to pool resources to meet practical needs of the residents of Franklin Township.  We are endeavoring to demonstrate the love of Jesus through our compassion and service.

Many churches have a heart to serve practical needs in the community, but some do not have the resources to take on projects alone.  By working together through Serve F. T., we can all play a role in assisting people in need.

S.P.A.R.C. (Student Providing Access and Resources for the Community)

Village Soul Ministries has partnered with the Franklin Township Community School Corporation to recruit volunteers from local churches and church related organizations to assist with the management of a food pantry the school district started in the fall of 2010 for the families of students.  Students and staff have donated food and clothing to the pantry.  We now need volunteers to help with the organization and distribution of these donations.  In addition to assisting with the food pantry,  volunteers will have the opportunity to mentor students in various job skills as they work side-by-side on distribution days (currently the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month 12:30 - 6:00).

Serve F. T. prayer meeting.

This is a time for ministers from churches and ministries that serve the people of Franklin Township to build relationship and pray with each other.  Our first priorities are to encourage one another and get to know each other better.  Out of these relationships we hope.to find ways to support each other’s service to the community and possibly coordinate our efforts.

We will meet the first Thursday of every month at 8:00 AM.  The location will be determined from month to month.  Check the calendar page to verify the location for the next meeting or contact Leon Longard at llongard@gmail.com or 317-306-9819 for more information.
